Italy, Greece Ban All Short Sales of Shares Amid Market Rout

Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Greece and Italy banned all short sales today after their benchmark indexes fell the most in more than a decade. The bans came into effect today and run through Oct. 31, Greece's Capital Markets Commission and Italian regulator Consob said in separate statements.
